Go Through Strange Trails With  Lord Huron, Groove With Erykah Badu At The Riverfront Jazz Festival And Enjoy So Much More This Jam-Packed Week In Dallas.

In case you weren’t paying attention to music news in the area last week, one of the biggest developments is that Arlington Soundcloud rapper Tay-K 47’s song “The Race” climbed to No. 52 on the Billboard Hot 100 list and that landed him the top spot in our Buzz Rankings for the third time this month.

Few stories out of the Dallas-Fort Worth music scene have been as compelling as that of Tay-K’s, and normally, news of his song’s rise would be happy news, but in case you’re not familiar with his story, well, he’s behind bars as he was arrested at the end of June  three months after he went escaped his court-mandated house arrest days before a court hearing for two murder charges.

So yeah, his song went viral and he’s gotten shoutouts from big names along the way. But Tay-K obviously doesn’t have any shows this week and he probably won’t ever have one any time soon. However, there’s still plenty happening in the area this week, so feel free to plan your Tay-K-free week with this packed list of ongoings.
