Rise Up With Rise Against, Have A Good Time With Lizzo, Get High On All Time Low And Do So Much More Than Just That This Week In And Around Dallas.

All of your RoboCop fantasies are starting to come true on the other side of the planet as police in Dubai recently introduced robotic police officers to their force.

Instead of cleaning up the mean streets of New Detroit, the humanoid machines are mostly being deployed at shopping centers across Dubai at this point, where citizens can approach them and use their touchscreen chests to register complaints about small crimes.

So, no, it’s not exactly a half-human Peter Weller yelling “Dead or alive, you’re coming with me!” at hoodlums. But, hey, it’s a start down the line to our dystopian future!

Better enjoy the present while we still can, huh? The below rundown of some of what’s going on in and around Dallas this week should help you get the jump on that. Find more options in our recently upgraded event directory right here. — Pete Freedman
