As promised, the team over at Spinster Records in Oak Cliff looked past the holiday that most people honor each February 14 and focused instead for the second year in a row on its 214 Day celebrations.

But, hey, love was still in the air. With drinks served up by Deep Eddy Vodka and Four Corners Brewing Co., food catered by Electric Kitchen, chocolates provided by CocoAndré and sounds supplied by Tim Funatik and DJ Sober — not to mention $25 Dallas-themed permanent skin-inkings by Oak Cliff tattoo artist Lucky –Dallasites celebrated the area code of their home town from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m. at the Davis Street shop.

Our own Karlo X. Ramos was there, too. Check out his photos from the revelry in the above slideshow.
