Get A 13 Tatt At Elm Street Tattoo.

As we mentioned yesterday, this has been shaping up to be one of the busiest weekends in Dallas in sometime. Many — such as the folks at the Rio Room — have been referring to it as the Big Weekend in Big D. And all kinds of artists will be in full view tonight and throughout the weekend, from culinary artists (see: Deep Ellum Food Truck Rally), performing artists (see: Frankie Rose at Dada or Aeroplane at Rio Room), make-up artists (see: the Nars event at Neiman Marcus), tattoo artists (see: the crew over at Elm Street Tattoo), and hair artists (see: Charlie Price) just to name a few.

Nars spring make-up event at Neiman Marcus NorthPark
Through Sunday, Nars make-up artists will be on hand at Neiman Marcus' NorthPark location, offering up complementary makeup sessions.

Frankie Rose at Dada
After previously kicking around as the drummer of Brooklyn noise-pop bands Vivian Girls, Crystal Stilts and the Dum Dum Girls, Frankie Rose set off on her own in 2010 with her debut record Frankie Rose and the Outs. Earlier this year Rose put out her follow-up record Interstellar, which takes things in more of an electronic direction.

Friday the 13th tattoos at Elm Street Tattoo
The 24-hour tattoo marathons put on by Elm Street Tattoo any time a Friday the 13th rolls around have become something of local legend, and the growing number of folks with various incarnations of the number 13 tattoos feel something like members of a local club. For just $13 (plus a $7 tip), you can join the 13 club.

Pop-up barbershop at Three Sheets
Charlie Price of Northwest Dallas salon Hair by Charlie has been featured in magazines such as Allure and Details. Today through Sunday, he'll be doing a pop-up barbershop on the patio of Three Sheets. Proceeds will benefit The Boot Campaign, a charity that helps returning vets cope with mental, emotional, and physical difficulties.

Aeroplane DJ set at Rio Room
The second of Rio Room's trio of Big Week shows sees Belgian producer Aeroplane performing. In just three years of producing and DJing, his blend of cosmic remixes and his own nu-disco jams have made him one of the premier performers in the genre.

Food Truck Rally in Deep Ellum
From 5 to 10 p.m. tonight, the Deep Ellum Community Association hopes to revive that block party feel that's been missing from the neighborhood for a decade or so, as they close Main Street from Malcolm X to Crowdus for a gourmet food truck rally and concert.
