Last Wednesday, Your Online Alternative (that's us) officially turned two.

That same day, interestingly enough, would have been Abraham Lincoln's 205th birthday, too. The thing is, in recent years, most states have ceased celebrating the 16th president's birthday or treating it as a paid holiday.

These days, only four states celebrate the day. And, no, Texas isn't one of them.

Oh, sure, you might say. We'll celebrate it tomorrow. That, of course, is why Presidents Day exists, right? Well, not exactly. The third Monday of February was originally designated as a celebration of Washington's birthday. Over the years, Lincoln was just kind of lumped in.

Anyway, the reason we bring it up is, unlike Lincoln, we are most definitely celebrating our birthday, albeit a bit late, with a big blowout this weekend.

We'll have more details on that later in the week. For now, just know you should go ahead and plan to celebrate with us at Dada this Saturday. Which also happens to be George Washington's birthday, too.
