We'd Check Out The Dallas International Film Fest's Closing Festivities For A Dollar!

Prepare yourselves, citizens: This year, the Dallas International Film Festival's closing festivities at the Texas Theatre will include a celebration marking the 25th Anniversary of the best-ever film about Detroit that was actually filmed in Dallas. Yes, Robocop. The Texas Theatre will host a reunion event featuring the cast and crew of the film.

At the moment, the Dallas Film Society hasn't yet said who from the cast and crew will be making an appearance. But you have to feel pretty good about Peter Weller show up for it, right? He's been known to show up at sci-fi conventions from time to time.

Anyway, get stoked. Because even though Detroit may be getting an actual Robocop statue, but we all know that the true heart of the film lies here in Dallas, where it was filmed.
