In Growlersations Episode 14, Casey Hinman And Tyler Ottwein Of Hollow Pointe Brewery Brought Us A Taste Of Nashville’s Newest Brewery.

You have found Growlersations! A growler is a 64-oz. glass jug used for taking beer home from breweries, and Sam Wynne and Jeff Fryman like to sit down every week and crack open a couple of them with a different guest or two. Typically focusing on North Texas restaurant and bar industry veterans, the conversation always gets a little better after a growler or two has been mixed into.

We’ve got beer, and we’re drinking it!

And this week, we’re drinking it with Casey Hinman and Tyler Ottwein, who lured us in with promises beers we hadn’t seen the likes of before. They unpacked a couple shady, unlabeled bottles of dark lager and — well, we cracked ’em wide open.

These guys are old friends of mine, so I knew these brews were trustworthy and bound to be good. You see, these guys are all about the grind. Even though they work full time at Flying Saucer Nashville, they’ve somehow managed to open up Hollow Pointe Brewery on the side. And that’s what we like to call dedication to the craft.

Unlike the last couple of episodes, Tyler and Casey came to play and we got to work making this beer quickly disappear. We talked about Nashville, its beers, regional trends and even got into BrainDead Brewing’s recent collaboration beer honoring Brian Deneke with Alamo Drafthouse for the new movie Bomb City.

So sit back, crack a pint of your own and enjoy Growlersations Episode 14.

Cheers!
