Talk Pretty Today.

Before we get to the things to do today, we'd like to first offer up something to definitely not do.

Here goes.

If your plans tonight were going to include spending $82,000 on iPhones as part of a weirdly elaborate marriage proposal, we'd advise you think again. Why? Well, the last guy that tried it ended up not only being rejected, but having video evidence of the embarrassing proposal-gone-wrong spread around the Internet.

Don't be that guy.

Try some of these markedly less embarrassing ways to spend your evening instead. — Cory Graves

David Sedaris at Winspear Opera House
The art of satire lives with acclaimed author David Sedaris. Sharp observations of the human condition and social critiques have led Sedaris to a Grammy nomination and praise as one of America's bitchiest, most humorous writers. This one will be a cynic's delight. — Porttia Portis

Daley at Trees
Like Rick Astley before him, the pipes of British R&B and soul singer Daley probably aren't quite what you'd expect to be coming out of the lanky, young ginger kid. Close your eyes, though, and you'll agree that this guy's the real deal. Head's up: Daley sold out this venue back in April, so you might want to play it safe and grab your tickets beforehand. — CG

What Ever Happened to Baby Jane at The Magnolia
Though its considered something of a cult favorite these days, we'd like to point out that the 1962 psychological thriller and black comedy that re-launched the careers of acting legends Bette Davis and Joan Crawford got nominated for five Academy Awards upon its initial release. — CG

Wiz Khalifa at House of Blues
Even though it seems like Wiz was just here — he just headlined Gexa Energy Pavilion with his Under the Influence of Music tour back in August — much has changed for the weed-loving Pittsburgh rapper. Since he was here last, Wiz has not only gone through a divorce, but has seen his single “We Dem Boyz” become something of an unofficial team anthem for a better-than-expected Dallas Cowboys team. And seeing as how this House of Blues stop is much more intimate than his last swing through town, he'll do back to back nights at the venue this time through. Ain't that sweet. — CG
