It's Gonna Be A Riot At The Kessler.

Mike Tyson was supposed to visit the Verizon Theatre tonight. He was supposed to offer up a one-man show. Alas, he canceled the appearance.

Maybe it would've been amazing. Maybe it would have been terrible.

We'll never know, I guess. But we do know that there are a number of other pretty cool events going on in North Texas tonight. And we do know that the odds of you getting your eat chewed off just went down a bit.

Ra Ra Riot at the Kessler Theater
With the release of of their third, just-released Beta Love album, Ra Ra Riot changed up their sound a little bit. That synth stuff they teased on 2010's The Orchard has a bigger presence here. Supposedly, the change in direction was inspired by sci-fi author William Gibson and inventor Ray Kurzweil, who's currently the director of engineering at Google. Heady stuff.

Hard Drinking Housewives, Treelines and Daniel Markham at J&J's Pizza
Apparently, members of Hard Drinking Housewives have previously been in such interestingly named bands as Particular People, Rude Rachel, Sideboob Tsunami Babes, Informant, Oh Lewis and Taco Kitty This appearance is supposedly a one-time deal. No idea what this means? Neither do we, but, hey, it's free! Treelines and Daniel Markham share the bill, too.

Open Mic Night at Dallas Comedy House
Do you think you have the chops to be the next big comedy star? All of your friends think you're funny, so, yeah, you could definitely be the next Kevin Hart or Louis C.K., right? Probably not. But maybe! Find out and hone your skills at the Dallas Comedy House's open mic tonight. Practice makes at least halfway decent.

TCM Road To Hollywood: Rio Bravo at the Texas Theatre
Turner Classic Movies is bringing their “Road To Hollywood” tour through Dallas to celebrate the TCM Classic Film Festival, which will take place during April in Hollywood. TCM host Ben Mankiewicz and special guest Angie Dickinson will be in attendance for this free screening of Rio Bravo, a badass Western starring John Wayne, Dean Martin and Ricky Nelson.
