Cool It.

Yesterday afternoon, the Dallas Cowboys clinched the NFC East by trouncing the Indianapolis Colts 42-7. Even better? The win eliminated the dreaded and feared Philadelphia Eagles from playoff contention.

What a sweet victory it was, too. Tony Romo made a case that he deserves to win the league MVP award after a 18 for 20 passing day that saw the quarterback throw for 218 yards, four touchdowns and zero interceptions, and passed Troy Aikman to become the team's all-time passing yards leader in the process.

The point is, it's Victory Monday, people. Walk around with your chest out and head held high. And should that get old at any point, you've at least got a few fallback options. — Cory Graves

Lightwire Theater at Majestic Theatre
As seen on America's Got Talent, the innovative NOLA dance troupe uses an almost completely darkened stage and unique electroluminescent costuming to pull off stunning effects like dinosaurs fighting with lightsabers. The troupe's Christmas show borrows a few elements from The Nutcracker to tell the tale of a baby bird trying to reconnect with his family in time for Christmas. Was the show written with youngsters in mind? Yeah, probably. But it's still pretty visually stunning just the same. — CG

Home Alone Pizza Party at Alamo Drafthouse
Ah, the film that managed to combine the action, comedy and Christmas genres in ways that Arnold Schwarzenegger and his 1996 quest for a Turbo Man action figure never could. As timeless as this Christmas classic has become, two facts about the film are still rather surprising: Not only did the film prove so popular in its original theatrical run that it stayed in theaters well past Easter, but the Guinness people have proclaimed it the “highest grossing live action comedy” ever. Catch it tonight where you can scarf on all the cheese pizza you can fit in your face and nobody will come out and stop you. Just go easy on the Pepsi, lest you wet the hide-a-bed. — CG

Cool Out at Crown and Harp
Last Thursday, DJ Sober celebrated the holiday edition of his Big Bang weekly by welcoming special guest DJ Erykah Badu to spin records with him at Beauty Bar. Tonight, he'll pay it forward, and serve as Tony Schwa's special guest at tonight's Christmas eve eve eve edition of Cool Out. — CG

Sparkle at Hilton Anatole
Once again this year, the gigantic hotel is decorated from floor to ceiling with holiday lights, trees, ornaments and awesome activities. But the main attraction here, of course, is the indoor ice-skating rink to get you in the winter spirit despite our continuing warmer temperatures. After getting chilly on the ice, grab a hot chocolate and a sample from the Nothing Bundt Cakes table (gingerbread cake is offered this season, yum!) and head to the light show offered every half hour. The entire space is filled with over 1.2 million lights. If that's not enough, there's also a Velcro jump wall, live holiday entertainment, food trucks, face painting and crafts available every day. You might also get to meet Santa while you're there — unless you've been naughty of course. Pro tip: Parking prices may appear ridiculous, but if you are there to attend the event they give you a voucher to wave the parking fee when you leave. — Melanie Shafranek
