This Weekend, Mods and Rockers Duked It Out in Dallas.

This past weekend was the sixth annual Rockers versus Mods rally, and while there were events all weekend, the central crux of the rally is to celebrate European, two-wheeled transportation and recall the old rivalry of the kids into rock music and motorcycles and, well, the mods on their scooters. It's an homage to those old days, with lots of live music and partying to go along with it.

The point is for all the participants to have plenty of reasons to ride their scooters or cafe-style motorcycles all over town and and excuse dress up in their finest gear, shine up their rides and go cavort with their friends while celebrating this culture. Saturday, after a group ride over the brand spankin' new Margaret Hunt Hill bridge, there were bands, a bar, food trucks, tons of great rides on display and even a parrot that rode a remote-controlled car around.

We were there to check out all the fantastic rides — and to soak up the music and warm weather.
