We’re going classic this weekend with dinner, a movie and ice cream — but Jefferson Boulevard-style. Everything is close together here, so you can focus on worrying about what your date thinks and has to say instead of where you’re going to find parking next. That's a good thing!

Stop #1: El Ranchito (610 West Jefferson Boulevard). I know you all love Chipotle, but maybe just this once stop at El Ranchito instead? They do traditional dishes pretty well here, so don't pass on the mole enchiladas. Might I also suggest just get the paradilla? It's plenty to share. Also, order the margarita. I know it’s almost $10, but I would never steer you wrong when it comes to my favorite alcoholic drink — and this one is damn strong.

Stop #2: Texas Theatre (231 West Jefferson Boulevard). The Texas Theatre is a classic Dallas date-night spot for many a reason. They've got awesome taste in movies, the usual movie snacks and, best of all, a bar. Tonight, we're going to honor David Bowie by watching his cult-favorite film, Labryinth. Bonus points if you order up his supposed favorite drink (a martini) to sip while you snuggle down and pay homage to the Goblin King.

Stop #3: Carnival Barkers Ice Cream (345 West Jefferson Boulevard). Let me start by saying that it is never too cold for ice cream — especially when it’s ice cream as delicious and creative as Carnival Barker's ice cream. You can end the night on a sweet note by splitting a Rice Krispy ice cream sandwich or you can go even more romantic with your choice by throwing an extra straw in a float and getting cozy. Plus, no matter how the night ends, at least you’ve still got ice cream!
