Scenes From Friday Night's Burger Records' Caravan of Stars Showcase at City Tavern.

Maybe its location Downtown is largely to blame, but, for whatever reason, City Tavern is a venue we've rarely seen truly packed out.

Needless to say, though, this was not the case when California-based garage rock label Burger Records' Caravan of Stars tour stopped Downtown on Friday night as it made its way to Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin. Nashville's Natural Child, Los Angeles' together PANGEA, Holland's Mozes & The Firstborn and Puerto Rico's AJ Davila & Terror Armor were clearly in good spirits during their sets — because, hey, a steady flow of booze tends to do that. Davila's set was especially interesting, too, as it was many in the crowd's first taste of the Davila 666 multi-instrumentalist's new solo project.

Fortunately, photographer Karlo X. Ramos was there for the duration, capturing some of the madness for us. And, yes sir, there was plenty of that.
