The First-Ever Bulladora Music Experience Will Not Be Experienced At All Due To Rain.

The flooding of the Dallas music festival market has come to a very literal crest: The first-ever Bulladora Music Experience — set to take place this weekend in Oak Lawn’s Reverchon Park and feature performances from Yeasayer, AlunaGeorge, Washed Out and others — has been canceled because of the rainy weather.

Here’s the cancellation statement from the fest’s organizers:

All events associated with Bulladora (June 3-5) have officially been canceled. The City of Dallas Park and Recreation Department canceled Bulladora’s reservation of Reverchon Park. The department stated the cancellation was due to recent rainfall and upcoming forecasted rain.

The Bulladora team regrets the necessity for cancellation, but hopes its audience will stay tuned on all social media channels and www.bulladora.com for updates on Bulladora Music Experience 2017 and future events.

All purchased tickets will be refunded from your ticketing source. Additional information will be forthcoming on an FAQ page at www.bulladora.com.

Shame, really. We were looking forward to seeing how Reverchon Park would stack up as a music fest venue. Alas, that won’t happen — not this weekend, at least.

Already, people on social media are clamoring for other promoters in town to book some of the fest’s slated performers to play shows at other venues this weekend, which would be dope if it happened, although possibly a pipe dream because, y’know, flights and whatnot.

Still, we’ll keep and eye out on the front and let you know if any of alternate showcases come to pass. We will also let you know if we hear of anyone booking an alternate location for the fest’s scheduled and much-anticipated pug petting zoo, which is something that seems more logistically plausible and, frankly, far more adorable.
