Good Luck Karaoke At The Double Wide Isn’t Your Standard Fare.

Every Thursday at the Double Wide Bar there’s a karaoke party like no other. Hosted by Josh Hammertimez and Oliver Peck, the event is called Good Luck Karaoke, and each week comes with its own theme. Last night, it was Spring Break in Dallas. Hammertimez and George Quartz (sitting in for the out-of-town Peck) brought a little bit of South Padre northward. Attendees were encouraged to dress up in theme and choose songs applicable to the theme always win points.

It’s more of a party than a karaoke night. It’s definitely not stuffy, that’s for sure. And rarely does anyone take their singing very seriously.

It’s definitely an experience. The crowds are usually pretty big, and they tend to fill up spots for singing pretty quickly. In fact, the event is now starting an hour earlier, at 10 p.m., to accomodate more singers. Oh, and the first few singers get drink tickets.

Score? Score.
