Mutemath, Dawes, Dilated Peoples and More Top The Second Round of Bands Playing Index Festival.
Judging from everything the folks at Spune and Trees have done to hype this year's Index Festival, it's already pretty apparent that they hell bent on making this year's third installment of the Deep Ellum-held fest the biggest one yet.
For starters, they threw a big, free shindig just to announce the first crop of bands playing during this year's fest. Then there's the fact those bands included such big names as Local Natives, Future Islands, Foxygen and Kaiser Chiefs. Oh yeah, and they've also expanded the sucker to a third day this year, too, from September 27-29.
So, yeah, the thing's already pretty big.
With the addition of the second crop of band announcements this afternoon, though, the thing just got that much bigger. The biggest gets from today's list? Oh, just Mutemath, Dawes, Dilated Peoples, The Get Up Kids, Russian Circles, The Cool Kids, The Limousines, Caroline Rose and Dan Deacon.
Also included in today's announce were a couple dozen local and regional acts, which you can find at the bottom of this post. With today's announces, though, three-day passes went up to $89, and VIP passes are now $199. Both are available here, and we'd recommend grabbing them before they increase again with the next crop off announces.
