Index Fest Announces Fourth Round Of Acts, Among Them Marnie Stern and Glassjaw.
Over the past month or so, the folks at Spune have been teasing us in a quite calculated manner, revealing small chunks at a time for their promised 60-band lineup for this year's Index Fest, which will take place in Deep Ellum on October 18 and 19.
Already they've made three such announcements, which have included names like Andrew Bird, Marijuana Deathsquads, Titus Andronicus, and Girl Talk.
This afternoon, Spune announced another batch of confirms. Among these adds: indie-shredder Marnie Stern, who played this year's 35 Denton festival; post-hardcore rockers Glassjaw, who played at the most recent Unsilent Night festival; The Memphis Dawls, who were part of this year's Untapped affair in Fort Worth; and Not in the Face, who will be at the upcoming Austin City Limits festival.
Where the fourth round of adds gets really interesting, though, is with the local additions. Among the homegrown talent taking part in this year's fest will be The Baptist Generals, These Machines Are Winning, Pageantry, Calhoun, Air Review, Dustin Cavazos and Blackstone Rangers (whose brand new track we debuted earlier today) among others.
Tickets to the multi-venue, seven-stage affair are on sale here.
