Worst Case Scenario – “Quarantunes”
RIYL: Passing the time during a pandemic, naturally
What Else You Should Know: In a time of high tensions, cabin fever and no toilet paper to be found, Worst Case Scenario decided to create a musical time capsule.

“Quarantunes” had to be created in the comfort of home, which leaves the semi-lo-fi  production on this this track with an air of nostalgia. The frustrations of not being able to pay rent, find a new job and just missing the homies are all painfully universally relatable situations now. Vocalist Joshua Olivo’s angst-filled vocals emit a mix of irritation and even boredom stemming from being home even one day too long.

Suffice to say no feelings are left ambiguous in lyrics of “Stay the fuck home cause right now we’re in a lockdown/If i catch you coughing then I’m giving you the smackdown. We’ve likely all felt a sense of hopelessness at some point during this pandemic, which is adequately reflected in the song’s conversational chorus.

“Quarantunes” is a high energy track that serves as a fun reminder of why wearing a mask is so important. But if nothing else, it’s a worthy addition to any of your quarantine playlists.
