Scenes From Saturday Night's Imagine Dragons and The Neighbourhood Show at South Side Ballroom.

On Saturday, for the second time in as many nights, Imagine Dragons played to a sold-out crowd in Dallas over at the South Side Ballroom.

And, it's safe to say that, by the time this show came to pass, the band was quite aware of what it was doing. Because here's the thing: This wasn't just the band's second sold-out show of the weekend; it was also Imagine Dragons' third sold-out show in Dallas this year. Back in February, you may recall, just when the band's smash “Radioactive” was starting to distinguish itself as the monster hit that it'd soon become, the band played a sold out show over at the House of Blues.

So, yeah, the five-piece band was comfortable in this setting, playing for a crowd that so obviously adored it.

It helped, too, that the band had a little introductory help from a similarly buzzy outfit on this night, The Neighbourhood, which also had a jam-packed Dallas show from earlier on in the year to build upon with this steely performance.

Imagine Dragons, however, simply flexed more muscle on this night — not just sonically, but visually as well, thanks to projections of a forest complete with crickets and chirps. And the crowd adoringly approved of it all — even going so far as to hoist signs in the air to wish drummer Daniel Platzman a happy birthday.

It was that kind of night — a loose, celebratory one. And, yeah, it sure was fun.
