Silver Apples, Killer Mike, Coathangers & Thurston Moore's New Band Join 35 Denton Bill.
As anticipated, the powers that be at 35 Denton have just now released another list of confirmed acts for their 2013 bill.
Now, in addition to the previously announced likes of Sleep, Roky Erickson, King Khan and the Shrines, Reigning Sound, Thee Oh Sees, Astronautalis and Black Moth Super Rainbow, we know that pioneering electronic act Silver Apples, Atlanta rapper Killer Mike, Atlanta punk rock outfit The Coathangers, dance poppers Poolside and Chelsea Moving Light (the new project from legendary Sonic Youth mastermind Thurston Moore, who will be making their Texas debut at the festival) will also perform at the March 7-10 affair, in addition to a slew of others.
With this announcement, we also learn that ticket prices have gone up to $45 (from $35) for a four-day wristband. That much was anticipated; so too is the likely fact that the prices will continue to rise as the festival approaches. So it may behoove you to just go ahead and get your tickets now right here.
Lastly, we should note that, per 35 Denton protocol, this month's announcement too comes with a video teaser for the fest, and this one features Denton electronic wizard Lars Larsen paying fine tribute to Silver Apples as trippy visuals ensue. It's pretty darn cool.
Check it out below, then scroll a little bit lower to see this year's list of so-far-announced performers in its entirety.
