Scenes From Friday's Tamaryn, Boy Friend and Nervous Curtains Show at Dada.

As promised, the buzzing shoegaze sounds of Tamaryn wafted through Dada on Friday night, as the New Zealand-born, San Francisco-based frontwoman for whom the band is named came to Dallas with her fellow players to support their recently issued Mexican Summer release, Tender New Signs.

It was an ample bill they headlined, too, as the act was joined on this night by Austin dark wavers Boy Friend and Dallas' own goth-inclined, synth-based rock trio, Nervous Curtains.

It was a heavy, heady night, to be sure.
