Denton's Jeremy Buller Revs Up Some Best Coast

Our friends up at 35Denton have been killing lately with their promo videos featuring local artist covering the bands coming to play their event. A recent clip announcing Best Coast's addition to the bill is no exception, with Dentonite Jeremy Buller offering up a slow-build cover of Bethany Cosentino and Bobb Bruno “I Want To” to the cause.

And, arguably, Buller's version is an improvement over the original. It's meatier, a little more meandering (and in an enjoyable way at that), and, overall, a far more expansive vision for the song.

No surprise there: Expansion is kind of the name of Buller's game. The guy performs in no fewer than five Denton bands, while also tinkering with his own material all the while. Currently, much of his time is devoted to a new Bosque Brown record with the angel-voiced Mara Lee Miller, which Buller tells Central Track could be ready in the next few months, thank the lord.

In the meantime, his Best Coast cover serves as a nice apertif — especially when paired with his cover of Cat Steven's “How Can I Tell You,” which is also available for free download on his BandCamp site.
