Scenes From Dallas' Third Annual Elements of Hip-Hop Event.

Attendees at the Green Elephant experienced quite the party on Saturday night as Poor Vida hosted its third annual Elements of Hip-Hop event.

Let's be frank: This affair is no joke. The venue was filled with 12 hours of music from over 50 different performers. And, hell, even if you tired of the music there was no a lack of things to browse or enjoy. The entire spot was filled with food stations, record libraries and apparel tables.

But the music indeed reigned supreme. And every performer had their own spin on the hip-hop genre, whether it was free style rappers who performed without music, a group of multiple people all feeding and jumping off of each other on stage, or a single artist performing with some back beats and a microphone stand. The time slots were short — that's a major drawback at an event such as this — but each performer truly gave it their all. These folks would have been sweating even if it hadn't been 100 degrees outside.
