The Granada Theater Dishes Up A Serving Of Spoon.

Well, we've been doing the whole daily to-do post thing for two months now, and we can't think of a single day as packed with things to do as tonight is. Concerts, fashion, art, film and DJ events are literally just about everywhere tonight. And it's all set to continue through the next few days, which many have been referring to as The Big Weekend in Big D. Tonight, CT favorites Spoon perform tonight at Granada Theater. Meanwhile, a guitar legend does the same over at Trees. There's also an affordable art show and a fashion event, as well as the kickoff of the Dallas International Film Festival. Plus, there's the chance to let out one's inner T-Pain over at the Double Wide.

Flight Facilities DJ set at Rio Room
As we mentioned before, it's a big week in Big D, and Rio Room is marking the occasion with their big weekend plans — a trio of big-name DJ shows beginning with tonight's set by Australian DJ duo Flight Facilities.

Dick Dale at Trees
What would the indie-rock scene have looked like the past couple of years if it weren't for Dick Dale? After all, the lo-fi DIY music that has pretty much dominated the indie landscape as of late couldn't exist without the heavily reverbed guitar tones that Dale pioneered. Known as “The King of Surf Rock,” Dale wanted his guitar tone to reflect the wetness of his favorite pastime. The rest is history. Judging from his somewhat recent appearances playing guitar in car commercials, it looks like the 74-year-old axe slinger is still pretty dexterous as well.

Spoon at Granada Theater
Is it just us or has Spoon not toured in what seems like forever? The three-day Texas swing they're currently on are their only dates shown at the moment, but it looks like they're getting back on the horse. Good thing, too: We put the band at No. 92 on our list of the 100 Greatest Texas Musicians, so you know we're into them. But unlike most acts on the list that you may catch live, Spoon is perhaps the one band closest to their prime.

Sassy City Chicks Fashion Bash at eM The Venue
Head over to the design district for a shopping experience featuring local labels like STATUS, Sakia Lek, Lucy Dang, Kachi Designs, Jo.Yon, and A.L.C, who will be offering up their designer goods at discount prices.

Attack of the $50 Art Show at Fitzhugh Urban Flats
Unlike some of the haughtier cash-and-carry art events that take place, this show features artists from across Texas (and largely from Dallas) who have contributed three to four pieces that they've agreed to sell for just $50. The show goes on from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Fitzhugh Urban Flats, located at 2707 North Fitzhugh Ave.

Dallas International Film Festival
The Dallas International Film Festival gets underway tonight with a showing of Liberal Arts at Majestic Theatre. The film, which received a rare standing ovation at the Sundance Film Festival, was written and directed by Josh Radnor, who also plays the lead role. Radnor is perhaps best known for his role as Ted Mosby on CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother.

Autotune karaoke at The Double Wide
As CT staffer Jeremy Hughes recently opined, the Double Wide's Thursday night staple, Good Luck Karaoke, is really more of a party than a karaoke night. The themed, costumed affairs are always uniquely fun times, but every so often they elevate their game even further by incorporating the use of professional autotune. Have a few different T-Pain songs ready because you know the good ones will get swiped up quick.
