Talking City Elections, Festival Season and The 2015 Dallas Cowboys Draft In Our New Podcast.

The past week's been a big one for us here at Central Track as podcasting goes. On Wednesday, we announced a partnership with the generally sports-inclined It's Just Banter podcast. On Friday, we launched TC's Movie Podcast, which, as you might expect, focuses on film. Today, we launch a third such venture called This Is Dallas, wherein the city at large becomes our focus. Wanna subscribe to it on iTunes? You can do so right here.

For the inaugural episode of our new This Is Dallas podcast, professional radio talker Mike Marshall and I attempt to set the stage for our new podcast's format, wherein we aim to talk about the three biggest talking points in the city each week.

This week, that means our discussion centers around city elections, the arrival of festival season and the Cowboys' surprisingly successful efforts in the 2015 NFL Draft.

Other questions raised:
• Are roads sexy?
• Why aren't our city's elected officials more social media savvy?
• Is parking in Deep Ellum as bad as people think?
• Are beer festivals not as sloppy as they used to be?
• How will we even know when Jerry Jones officially goes crazy?
• Do Cowboys fans actually enjoy the soap opera surrounding the franchise?

And so much more, too. Give it a listen and let us know what you think.

Oh, and shout out to our pals A.Dd+ and DJ Sober for giving us the green light on making their “I'm So Dallas” track our theme song. They're awesome. — Pete Freedman
