Try a New Drug with Huey Lewis & The News.

Yesterday, the world's oldest person, Jiroemon Kimura, passed away from pneumonia at the age of 116 in his hometown of Kyotango, Japan. Kimura was the last recorded surviving man born in the 19th century.

While you may not have the genetics to surpass such mortal expectations, you've got plenty of options this evening to live like you'll be forever young.

So head out tonight doing Kimura would have wanted by celebrating your fleeting youth.

Coors Light Search for the Coldest Hip Hop Contest at American Airlines Center
Despite the gradually approaching triple-digit temperatures, Coors Light brings its national MC search to Dallas tonight in hopes of discovering the “coldest” new talent. Local artists will brave the stage, spitting some mean game in front of a celebrity panel that includes Ice Cube, Bun B and DJ Drama — all in hopes of winning a $20,000 grand prize. But the free performances from Juicy J and Pusha T that follow the competition mean we're all winners, really.

Slow Food Dallas Presents: Why Non-GMO and Heirloom Matters at Trinity Haymarket
Learning about the history of your food is just as important as discovering how great it's going to taste. Tonight, Slow Foods invites you to do both. Once you've filled your brain with culinary knowledge, indulge in small bites from chef Claudine Martyn and some local brews.

Pinkish Black at The Church
All vital signs are now a go for Pinkish Black vocalist Daron Beck, who fell ill and had to postpone his band's April gig at this same venue, which provides a nice fit for his two-piece's dark, gloomy and heavy sound. Be sure to also catch resident DJs Joe Virus, Per Nilsson and The Funeral Party at this long-running, goth-inspired recurring party inside of the Lizard Lounge. Something else to consider: Admission is free tonight, provided you come wearing dog tags.

Huey Lewis & The News at Annette Strauss Square
If you woke up late this morning feeling like Marty McFly, then hop on your hover board and head downtown to catch Huey Lewis and Co. as they celebrate the 30th anniversary of their seminal Sports album. Don't worry about fitting in at this one. It's cooler to have a Huey Lewis & The News shirt now more than any time since 1989 — well, according to Lewis at least.

Rufus Wainwright at Bass Performance Hall
While you may never get to experience the pleasure of running your fingers through Wainwright's luscious head of brown hair, you can still be serenaded by the world-renowned singer-songwriter's variety of French ballads, original scores and, we imagine, some of his latest work with Mark Ronson, too.

Old School Electro Night and Fresh House Music at Zubar
Zubar gives you two options tonight: You can kick it old-school with Cygnus, Phooka, and Electro Crew or you can check out what's fresh on the scene with DJs Christian Zanni, Donny Young and more. Choose wisely. Or don't. These parties are literally separated by a couple of feet.
