Revive Disco with Gigamesh at Rio Room.

Well, yesterday was fun, right? Unfortunately, part of the price of having July 4th fall awkwardly on a Wednesday is that today, Thursday, is your day of recovery. And there are things to do — things like cleaning the beer bottles off of your back lawn, nursing your hangover and, worst of all, getting back to the daily grind. After all, you have to get ready for all the madness going on tonight. For instance? Electronic dance wizard and disco fool Gigamesh will be playing at Rio Room tonight and The Rocktboys will be over at the Prophet Bar. If that doesn't suit you, you can catch a giggle fit at the Dallas Comedy House with Paul Varghese and Dominic Harris or tragically weep during Coriolanus.

Gigamesh at Rio Room
Disco never died, and Gigamesh is in town tonight to prove it. His remixes of artists like Theophilus London, Afrojack and Mike Posner have made him a sought-after artist in dance music.

Paul Varghese, Dominic Harris and Friends at Dallas Comedy House
This all-Dallas lineup features local heavy-hitters including Paul Varghese, whose run on Last Comic Standing launched him into public consciousness, and Dominic Harris, who also found competitive success as a 2011 finalist on Improv's Funniest Comic in Texas.

The Rocketboys at the Prophet Bar
Austin's The Rocketboys' usually melancholy, but sometimes insightful, melodic light rock might not be the thing for everybody. Those who enjoy piano-driven sophistication and references to October Sky, however, will be right at home at this show.

Coriolanus at Samuell Grand Ampitheater
The second play in Dallas' Shakespeare in the Park run is the tragedy Coriolanus. The play's namesake is also who it's based off of — the Roman leader Caius Marcius Coriolanus, who is only slightly less popular than that other Roman leader you may have heard about.
