Count Yer Lucky Stars.

When you're a teenager, the term “beer run” has a completely different meaning, a favorite pastime of folks who are not old enough to buy alcohol and couldn't afford to even if they were.

But it's a relatively easy thing to pull off once you're an adult — unless, say, you're a grown man and you live in Florida. Case in point: these two not-so-smooth criminals who tried to leave a local convenient store with 72 cans of beer — until they meet the great challenge that is a door.

They. Couldn't. Open. The. Door. They. Walked. Through. Minutes. Prior.

We know: Doors can be hard. So, too, can finding worthwhile things to do on a Monday night. Fortunately, we can help you with the latter.

But as for that whole door thing? Well, there you're on your own. — Chase Whale

Gringo Star, Blank Rage, Drug Animal at City Tavern
If you're looking for some ambient, out-of-body music to get lost to, Gringo Star is your best entertainment option tonight. Soulful music for soulful people. And only five days before Ringo Starr comes to town, too. — CW

Monday Night Football Watching Party at Henderson Tap House
Are you ready for some football? We hope so, because it's here to take over every bar you frequent. Every Monday, members of the Cowboys will be at Henderson Tap House. Tonight, you can get krunk with guard Mackenzy Bernadeau and offensive tackle Tyron Smith, who've helped the 'boys get off to their best start since 2008. — CW

Rescuer, Aviator, Seasons of Change at Sons of Hermann Hall
Now this is diversity. Post-rock band Rescuer, “progressive” hardcore acts Aviator and Seasons Change under the same roof tonight. If anything, you'll learn something new about yourself. (Probably not.) — CW

Celebration of Reading at Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center
Despite W. not being the brightest president of the bunch, his family has always been dedicated to doing their best to better America. Take for example, the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy, a foundation to help literacy in the U.S. Tonight some of the Bushes will be in attendance for Celebration of Reading with guest authors Brad Meltzer, Kelly Corrigan, Eric Draper, Emily Giffin and Gary Haugen. — CW
