Level Up With Ava Luna at La Grange.

Like lots of people in this town, we're usually pretty wrecked come Monday morning. Maybe that's why there are so many food and drink specials around town tonight.

The two-dollar drinks at the Double Wide, the half-price food at Barcadia, and that choice show over at La Grange are just tempting enough to get us back out of the house tonight.

Open Stage at House of Poets
Like Shakespeare once wrote, “All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players.” Or as the staff over at House of Poets like to say, “For five minutes every Monday, our stage is yours.” Perform anything from that famous As You Like It monologue to that new acoustic ballad you just penned.

Ava Luna at La Grange
It's not every Monday that a decent show is in town. The pop stylings of Ava Luna, the Brooklyn sextet that Carlos Hernandez started after leaving the noise punk world, is one of those rare exceptions.

Singles Night at The Double Wide
It's that time of the month when folks gather at the Double Wide to eat individually-wrapped slices of cheese and watch a Cameron Crowe film from 1992. Or at least that's what we imagine happens at something called Singles Night. Their website also says something about how people can bring heat wave-themed singles up to the bar for the DJ to spin.

Half-price food at Barcadia
Two important bits of information that will improve your life tonight: “Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start” works on more than just the Konami video games and tonight's eats over at Barcadia are half off.
