Cane Rosso Comes Heads To Dallas Cowboys HQ, And UberEats Hits The Fort.

Welcome to The Spread, our weekly feature that aims to share all the area restaurant, food and beverage industry news that’s fit to print. Except, this is the Internet, so space isn’t a concern. Also: Good thing, because this is Dallas and this town always has breaking restaurant news going down like whoa.

This week starts off with some expansion news, as The Halal Guys plots on its second Dallas location. As Eater Dallas reports, the next outpost is slated to join the Richardson Restaurant Park, with a total of 10 locations of the chain planned for the Metroplex. No news yet on an opening date.

Also coming to the suburbs is an outpost of Cane Rosso. The decadent pizza slingers are opening their newest location at The Star (read: The Dallas Cowboys‘ new headquarters) in Frisco. An opening is slated for 2017.

Staying on the opening wire: Shake Shack is getting closer to making its Dallas debut. As fans of the NY-based burger chain anxiously await its North Texas invasion, Eater loosely confirms than an opening should be expected towards the end of the summer.

Out in Fort Worth, UberEats is now available. Per GuideLive, the current delivery range is in the Texas Christian University area, but plans to extend throughout the city on Monday, August 29. Deliveries are available 24/7, with limited free delivery options during lunch.

In sweeter news, a new macaron shop called Savor Patisserie has popped up in East Dallas’ Casa Linda Plaza. The sweet shop specializes in the French pastry, with rotating monthly flavors like popcorn and Warhead candy. The shop is open daily, with hours Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 7 p.m.

Starting next month, the Granada Theater kicks off its new food and music-pairing Beats and Eats series. Each month will find a different local chef preparing a four-course meal, served while a local musician performs. The September 15 edition will feature chef Graham Dodds (Wayward Sons) and the music of Charley Crockett.

Finally, in craft beer news, Community Beer Co. is rolling out a new fall seasonal. The Yessir! IPA is brewed with Eureka and Lemondrop hops for notes of citrus and mint. The brew will be available on draft and in 12-ounce six packs from August to November.

Tomorrow, Mudhen Meat and Greens is collaborating with Peticolas Brewing Co. on a Pork and Pours dinner. The day features a three-course, tropical pig roasted meal with pairings of four Peticolas brews. The event takes place from 7 to 9:30 p.m.
