Hero Saves The Day (Apparently).

Each week, we team up with our friends at The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Texas (SPCA of Texas) to showcase a different animal that's in need of a loving home. We'll check out the animal, learn about its personality, do a short “interview,” take some cute pictures and report back to you on our findings. If any of the animals shown are to your liking, remember: They need loving homes free from abuse. If that sounds like your home, help them out.

This week, we met up Hero for a quick interview. As always, this pet is currently up for adoption at the SPCA of Texas (2400 Lone Star Drive; 214-742-7722).

Well, hey there, Hero! It's nice to meet you!
Likewise. It is always nice to meet a fair citizen of this metropolis that I protect.

Excuse me?
I know that this is uncharacteristic of a super hero, but I will say it: I, Hero the dog, am the secret identity of the caped crusader of this city, HeroDog!

Wait, what? You're a super hero? Those are real?
Yes.

Why have I never heard of you before then?
Well, I… are you sure… ummmm… I mean… Woof? I'm just a regular dog. Woof.

TELL ME YOUR STORY, HERO.
Woof.
