Let me first say that picking what to do this weekend is extra hard! Dallas is really poppin' lately, and I don't use that word lightly.

Just looking at all the things going on this Thursday — from Decks in the Park to our very own Oh, Snap! event to the free Bowling for Soup show at The Bomb Factory — made me question my own plans and throw me into a pit of indecision.

Fortunately, you don't have to suffer that same frustrating experience, because I've already gone and done it for you. And I've laid out some definitive date night plans for your Thursday.

Stop No. 1:Dinner at Relish (2012 Woodall Rodgers Freeway, Dallas). If you haven't eaten at Klyde Warren Park, you've been missing out. The food trucks are consistently great, Savor is a “treat yo self” experience and Lark on the Park is a go-to lunch spot for those in the area. Tonight is for Relish, though. Formerly a food truck by the folks at Savor, they're now a walk-up kiosk window, which means you're getting solid food at a decent price. Grab a burger and some snacks — but don't eat them just yet. Save them for the next stop!

Stop No. 2: Decks in the Park Summer Kickoff at Klyde Warren Park (2012 Woodall Rodgers Freeway, Dallas). Sure, everyone loves yelling along to Bowling for Soup classics like “1985,” but that's a move best reserved for long road trips and/or drunken Monopoly nights or something. So instead of hitting up their free show Thursday, you should probably head over to the park to listen to a talented lineup of DJ's like Blue, The Misfit, Booty Fade and more. Celebrate the start of summer with some tunes to get you dancing. Be sure to bring a blanket and some beer for the full experience. Your date will be impressed by your resourcefulness.

Stop No. 3: Decks' After-Party at Foundation Room (2200 North Lamar Street, Dallas). After this relaxing night of food trucks and outdoor concerts, head over to HOB's Foundation Room to wrap up the night with a bit more of a high-class party atmosphere. Or something like that anyways? Point is, they've got a whole set of artists lined up here to keep things going after Deck. Plus, there are drink specials — and, like Decks, it's free!
