Chill Out With DJ Feezy's Exclusive Central Track Pool Party Mix.
If you're gonna be the in-house, go-to DJ at a Dallas nightlife hotspot like Rio Room — a space that, on any given night, can play host to hip-hop heads, electronic fiends or Top 40 devotees — you better be able to cross genres with some relative ease.
Fortunately for him, resident Rio Room mixmaster Feezy is capable of just that.
For 12 years now, he's been offering a wide variety of tunes to dance-ready crowds all across North Texas. His resume proves it: After starting his local DJ career with a residency at the Slip Inn, Feezy moved on to maintain weekly residencies at such venues as dolce, Aura, ZaZa and Wish — all the while handling some private events for the Dallas Mavericks — before settling into his current role at Rio.
He's performed with some big names along the way — names juicy enough to make the dance set salivate.
Among them? Klever, Craze, Treasure Fingers and Kill The Noise. And, at Rio, his streak of high-profile gigs has only continued, as the duty of warming rooms for the likes of Erykah Badu, Robyn, Steve Aoki, Dam-Funk and Diplo has regularly fallen his way.
When not actively pumping lifeblood into area dancefloors, Feezy, fellow Rio Room spinner Redsean (who provided Central Track with an exclusive mix back during our launch week) and area producer Justin Bell are currently working on a few moombahton bangers of their own under their Crussia moniker (download their fiery “White Gurls” track here).
We hope to hear more from Crussia in the future, but, for now, we're quite content simply to have Feezy offer us an exclusive mix tailor made for summer pool parties.
The pool party part? That was our call. And Feezy's response to our request? “Be careful what you ask for.”
No regrets here. This mix, which Feezy's calling “Just Poolin',” is about as perfect a soundtrack to a salacious pool party as we can imagine. It hits on pretty much every dance genre — offering up a little something for everyone in the process — without sounding cluttered.
