Scenes From Anvil Pub’s Jameson-Fueled Two-Year Anniversary Bash.

Tough to believe that Anvil Pub’s been around for two years, right? Maybe our memories of our times spent at the Deep Ellum watering hole are just fuzzy.

We do remember some good times at the spot since its opening, though. That packed, “secret” Old 97’s show they hosted there last holiday season immediately springs to mind. So, too, do the many Texas Sage pizzas and drinks we’ve downed.

Still, brothers and bar co-owners Loc Holman and Joshua Bridges confirmed our suspicions when we asked them about how it feels to have been around for two years. They couldn’t really believe it, either.

But they celebrated their milestone regardless, with a photobooth set up near the entrance of the bar, with DJ Tyrone Smiley spinning jams near the back and with an impromptu dance floor formed, well, wherever people felt like it, really.

There were a lot of impulsive decisions at this affair to be sure. The bar’s celebratory offering of $2 Jameson shots pretty much guaranteed it.

It was a good time, far as we can remember.
